ROLE A full time PHP & MySQL developer with 2-3 years of experience in software development using Web related technologies. If you want to leverage your programming skill and creativity to revolutionize Web server application development within a totally dynamic, fun, and unique work environment, this job is for you. Our back-end is built with PHP and MySQL and runs off a Linux server farm. Members of our team have been building commercial sites based on PHP since 1996 (in fact, our CEO is mentioned in the PHP3 credits). RESPONSIBILITIES Work with a team of talented engineers to build reusable PHP-based software components that make the development of our high-end custom Web site fast and efficient. You will have an opportunity to provide technical leadership in completing the assigned tasks. You will bring in your 2-3 years of experience in software development using Web related technologies. You have 2 or more years of experience in commercial software development, experience developing large, robust, high-availability Internet applications. You should have a deep understanding of complex multi-tiered systems where the system architecture includes distributed database, middleware, and applications server structures. You must demonstrate communications skills and be able to mentor more junior engineers. You must have a client/server model background. Your background should reflect the ability to define, design, build, and deliver in a customer-oriented environment. REQUIREMENTS Strong development skills (2+ years) in PHP, C++, Java, or a similar development language. Experience in these areas is a plus: SQL, distributed computing, HTML, UML. Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment. Experience with Server side Web development Experience with Web Application Frameworks (application servers) such as ATG Dynamo/WebLogic or NetDynamics will be a strong plus. Understanding the concepts of Personalization and E-Commerce implementation will be beneficial and any experience with Content Management Systems is desired.
