Re: [PHP4BETA] ODBC (bug #2886) and compiling on NT

Hi I've been trying to compile the 4.0beta3 code for some while now in an attempt to get to the bottom of bug 2886. I had problems with a number of with the linker failing due to a number of unresolved externals. I was using VC++5, and upgraded yesterday to VC++6. The number of unresolved externals has reduced, but the linker still fails with the following: resolv.lib(nsap_addr.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __pctype resolv.lib(res_query.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __pctype resolv.lib(res_init.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __pctype resolv.lib(res_debug.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __pctype resolv.lib(base64.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __pctype resolv.lib(nsap_addr.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol ___mb_cur_max resolv.lib(res_query.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol ___mb_cur_max resolv.lib(res_init.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol ___mb_cur_max resolv.lib(res_debug.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol ___mb_cur_max resolv.lib(base64.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol ___mb_cur_max resolv.lib(res_send.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol _writev Release_TS/php4ts.dll : fatal error LNK1120: 3 unresolved externals So can anyone advise me on what to do to find pctype, mb_cur_max and writev?
