Hello,
We're using apache version 1.3.9 with mod php4 (beta2) on
UnixWare (7.1) and are running into a problem with resource
allocation. Every 12-16 hours the PHP process (all of our
dynamic content is handled by php) appears to take up impossible
cpu resources. Top shows it as taking up anywhere from
3000-6000% of cpu resources, the box itself is completely maxxed
out and the server no longer processes requests.
However, the server DOES reply to requests (error500). Also,
the httpd processes take up impossible cpu resources (in the
thousands according to top). Eventually we have to stop and
start the server. We've traced through all of the code on our
site but don't see any problems inline that would cause
something like this.
Has anyone encountered similar problems?
