Hello all,
we use PHP3 with APACHE and Datebase-Connectivity in our
intranet as an information-system for our ERP-System and
Document-Management System. (PHP4 right now only for development)
It works great and PHP is easy to use - thank you all for such
a good tool and for all the time, that you spend in developing.
Now my problem:
I need to exchange Data from the ERP-System to the Doc-System
(ERP runs on a HP-SQL-Database, Doc-System on Informix).
Is it possible to compile and use php4 or zend as a standalone-tool
like perl ?
I need a utility that reads data from the ERP and inserts it into the
Informix-DB.
We have a complete script-environment in PHP to access data in
both systems, but only with user-interaction via WEB.
We want to use these tools to exchange data without any user-action
(like a deamon-process that reacts on requests (port-listener or request-files).
Or is perl (or C, phyton etc.) the only way to do such things.
-> then we have to do all our basic work twice (php+perl) .
Am I right, when I think, that the intention behind ZEND is
that you can use the scripting engine standalone for doing things like that ?
I hope that somebody could help me.
