I just updated my source from CVS, recompiled PHP4 & Apache & got the following when trying to start up Apache: ./apachectl startssl ./apachectl[83]: 45508 Illegal instruction(coredump) ./apachectl startssl: httpd could not be started Here's the backtrace: gdb httpd GDB is free software and you are welcome to distribute copies of it under certain conditions; type "show copying" to see the conditions. There is absolutely no warranty for GDB; type "show warranty" for details. GDB 4.16 (powerpc-ibm-aix4.1.4.0), Copyright 1996 Free Software Foundation, Inc... (gdb) run -X -f /usr/local/www/conf/httpd.conf Starting program: /usr/local/www/bin/httpd -X -f /usr/local/www/conf/httpd.conf Program received signal SIGILL, Illegal instruction. 0x0 in ?? () from /usr/local/www/bin/httpd (gdb) bt #0 0x0 in ?? () from /usr/local/www/bin/httpd Not very useful, eh? This occurs both with Apache 1.3.9 and 1.3.11. OS is AIX 4.2.1. Here's the configure line from PHP4: ./configure --with-mysql=/usr/local/lib/mysql \ --with-ldap \ --with-iodbc=/usr/local \ --enable-track-vars \ --with-apache=/usr/local/lib/apache_1.3.11 And here's the one from Apache: ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/www \ --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a \ --enable-module=ssl --enable-module=rewrite --without-execstrip Any ideas? Brian
