So we either need to move the whole function to SAPI, or split up the individual checks in it and make each of those small SAPI functions. Anybody have a preference? I'd rather have small SAPI functions for this.Me too. There should be an entry in the sapi_module structure that knows how to log a char * string. Then, the php_log_err() would have the logic of creating the format + args into the result string, and then it'd call the SAPI logging function. Andrei - where stderr goes in CGI mode depends on under which server you're running. In Apache, for instance, it'd go to the error_log. In other servers, it may be different.
