IIS5 and php4beta isapi server variables not showing!

Hi,
Hope someone can help.
I have php4 working great in w2k , but seem unable to access the server variables, although they
show when using phpinfo().
I have tried various ways of retrieving the variables, using getenv, ensuring using global
QUERY_STRING etc but to no avail.
Has anyone else had this problem on IIS5. I also have track vars enabled in the php.ini file.
