I've tried building PHP4 using some of the latest releases from
snaps.php.net. However, I've run into a variety of problems with getting it
to compile (compile errors when making it). For example, in build php4ts, I
get compile errors on fopen-wrappers.c (syntax error : 'constant' on
...cygwin/in.h), etc. Seems like some of the cygwin headers overlap the
VC/Win32 headers, etc. I have the cygwin include directory last in the
path.
I've looked at the Win32 build instructions on the web site and tried to
follow them, but they seemed to be a little dated (for example, I didn't
find the include subdirectory in the build directory, etc.).
I'm using VC6 with SP3. I'm also doing this on Windows 2000 RTM Pro. Any
hints would be appreciated.
