Hi,
As described in the INSTALL file it is possible to use them together as
apache modules under some operating systems. This is due to a feature
which exists on some where the shared library (dynamically loadable apache
modules are shared libraries) can have a version tag on them. This way if
you have two functions with the same name in two libraries they will have
the version number ammended to them and thus they won't collide.
We had a list of difference up a while ago. I think we will put it back up
when our new site goes live.
Your code doesn't work because in PHP 4 you can only use constant values
like (1, "foo", array(1,2,3)) to initialize class members. You can always
move this code into the constructor.
