I got on this list just to ask this question, so if it's been asked a
million times before, I apologize. I am having problems getting PHP4 on
Apache to work with phpMyAdmin. Everything works until I try to browse a
table, then the process appears to hang. The httpd process begins to eat
up CPU cycles and memory until I finally have to kill it. Nothing is
ever logged to the Apache or MySQL log files. Has anyone else had
problems with this? Here are my specs:
Sun Ultra 10 running Solaris 7 (all the latest patches.)
Apache 1.3.11
PHP 4.0b3
Configure for PHP:
./configure \
--prefix=/private/php4 \
--with-config-file-path=/private/httpd/conf \
--enable-track-vars \
--enable-magic-quotes \
--with-apache=../apache_1.3.11 \
--with-mysql=/private/mysql
Configure for Apache:
./configure \
--prefix=/private/httpd \
--activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a
And these two lines in httpd.conf:
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php3
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
Everything else is default. And phpMyAdmin worked fine under PHP3.
Thanks for your time,
Steve Cleveland
