Nice find. I introduced this bug yesterday. :/
It's fixed in SVN. Because the alpha file is php-5.4.0alpha1 and the RC file is php-5.3.7RC1, I
instead changed 'rc' to 'RC' in the configuration and documented that it should
match the filename case. This allows "custom" filename schemes that we seem to use.
