Greetings,
Just trying to download the latest source from one of your mirror pages,
however, the links to mirrors use some kind of embedded URL logic
instead of a direct link, so I can't just copy the destination and paste
it into a terminal with "wget ...". Additionally, the md5 checksum is on
another page entirely... I understand the local server may not always
know where the remote mirror keeps its files, so that explains the URL
abstraction, but it would be so nice if the mirror directed my browser to
a simple page that has a direct link to the local mirrored file and the
MD5 checksum all in one place; of course the redirect could be spoofed
and the information faked, but so could the mirror...
wget...md5sum...tar...configure...make install...
It would be convenient. I do occasionally dabble in this interweb stuff,
so if there is someway I can help/contribute, please let me know.
Cheers,
