Sorry i hit a shortcut key and it sent this mail. The left menu background pattern is nice, the dropshadow is a nice effect too. Both are CSS'able effects. I like the little bars "PHP Manual" with the dark part on the very left of the menu items. The sub-items call_user_method_array() and such though with the standard <li> style is too plain though. The sub-items need worked on. See the little dark part on the left of each nav item? This could be an arrow for open/close. So we can have an expand/collapse like menu here. However if you click on the main menu item "Function reference" it will still take you to the desired page, we're not interfering with user experience here, just enhancing the leftmenu for open/collapse. Just my ideas on how to improve your left menu concept Wojciech.
