Thread safe vs non-thread safe

Hi.
Under the "Which version should I choose?" section on the left pane at
windows.php.net, there is sufficient information to choose between VC9 and
VC6 versions (5.3.6 and 5.2.17 respectfully).
What is not mentioned is thread safe vs non-thread safe versions.
What about including something like this on the left pane (found at
sitepoint.com)?
*A Thread Safe version should be used if you install PHP as an Apache
module. The Non Thread Safe version should be used if you install PHP as a
CGI binary.*
