Installing PDO

Hello, I am the webmaster of a server Linux and I wouldlike to make PDO_mysql running My apache config ( Cpanel centos:*WHM 11.30.4 (build 6)* , CENTOS 5.7 x86_64 virtuozzo on ns1 ) Default PHP Version (.php files) 5 PHP 5 Handler: CGI PHP 4 Handler : DSO Default PHP Version (.php files) 5 PHP 5 Handler cgi PHP 4 Handler Option Configured Value Default PHP Version (.php files) 5 PHP 5 Handler cgi PHP 4 Handler dso Option Configured Value Default PHP Version (.php files) 5 PHP 5 Handler cgi PHP 4 Handler dso Is it possible to compile with - PDO_mysql EXTENSION - mYSQLI EXTENSION I ask this question, because I am afraid that PDO is not compatible with DSO What is your recomendation?
