Let's try this way: If (VC6 == Apache) && (5.3.x <> VC6) Then (5.3.x <> Apache) Unless of course, there's a 5.3.x VC6 release... but there's none posted. -----Original Message----- From: Ferenc Kovacs [mailto:tyra3l@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, October 11, 2011 3:56 PM To: Frederic Gillot Cc: php-webmaster@lists.php.net Subject: Re: [PHP-WEBMASTER] misleading info from php web site On Tue, Oct 11, 2011 at 10:54 PM, Frederic Gillot <fred.gillot@gmail.com> wrote: > It's stated on the php web site here (http://windows.php.net/download ) that > VC6 is for Apache and VC9 for IIS. If you are using PHP with Apache 1 or Apache2 from apache.org you need to use the VC6 versions of PHP If you are using PHP with IIS you should use the VC9 versions of PHP VC6 Versions are compiled with the legacy Visual Studio 6 compiler VC9 Versions are compiled with the Visual Studio 2008 compiler and have improvements in performance and stability. The VC9 versions require you to have the Microsoft 2008 C++ Runtime (x86) or the Microsoft 2008 C++ Runtime (x64) installed Do NOT use VC9 version with apache.org binaries VC9 versions of Apache can be fetched at Apache Lounge. We use their binaries to build the Apache SAPIs." -- Ferenc Kovács @Tyr43l - http://tyrael.hu
