Generally, the "Thanks" page is for folks who have donated some services, time, software, infrastructure, or other assets to the project without explicitly asking to be mentioned on the page, though there are a few exceptions over the years. The businesses and sites listed there are not sponsors, but rather donors who asked if they could help in some way, and then we, in turn, provide a link back to show our appreciation. Nonetheless, I don't believe we'll have need for conference systems, phones, credit, et cetera, as we're a vastly-decentralized team of folks from all over the world.
