asking php mktime

Dear Php Webmaster, Hi, I'm Asrianda, I just wanna ask about the php mktime. because lately I was doing some projects related to date like year, month, and date. So, when I'm using this mktime function the year just went from 1901 - 2038. And btw I read the things too in here http://php.net/manual/en/function.mktime.php The question is, are there any alternatives that I can use? so that I can get the year from 1901 until more than 2038. Hopefully, I can get the answer from you php webmaster. Thanks, Regards, Asrianda Syah Putra
