I'm not sure how that can sound anything other than disrespectful. When you are adding to an
existing codebase it is good practice to match style. There is very little OO code in php.net. I
think it is better to go with the flow in situations like this.
I don't necessarily agree with all of the changes you are making, but I think it's great
that you are working on the site. I wish more people would.
