Edit report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=62993&edit=1 ID: 62993 Updated by: googleguy@php.net Reported by: grassl at linandot dot net Summary: at.php.net mirror slow from inside at Status: Open Type: Feature/Change Request Package: Website problem Operating System: Any PHP Version: Irrelevant Block user comment: N Private report: N New Comment: It does look like that mirror has a bit of a slow response time (3.3 seconds for me). However, you can set the default mirror to use yourself. Simply go to http://php.net/my.php and scroll down to "Mirror site redirection" and from there you can select at2.php.net as your default mirror. It sets a cookie that helps you stick to your preferred mirror. Cheers :) Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2012-09-02 07:20:21] grassl at linandot dot net Description: ------------ Dear support, for years I have been experiencing slow performance on at.php.net whenever php.net automatically redirects me there. It's quite annoying if you have to wait for 10-20 seconds for every page to load in the documentation. As a workaround it helped to change the at.php.net/...-address to at2.php.net/... or de.php.net/... which then loads the pages almost instantly. It's not very convenient if you have to do that about 10 times a day, though. I would therefore like to kindly ask you to remove the at.php.net mirror or to make at2.php.net the default for Austria. The GDS from Vienna UT haven't been the fastest servers ever since and it seems to me as if they weren't suspect to change soon. Thank you very much Philipp Grassl ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -- Edit this bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=62993&edit=1
