Dear owner of PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor,
Over the past year, I have been managing a project to catalogue and aggregate all digital resources
hosted within the UK and of interest to UK Higher Education. The Digital Repositories and Archives
Inventory (DRAI) is funded by the JISC and more information about it is available at
http://www.jisc.ac.uk/whatwedo/programmes/digitalrepositories2007/project_inventory.aspx
The purpose of the project is to gain an insight into digital resource provision in the UK and by
providing our data to the JISC for inclusion in their Information Environment Service Registry
(http://www.iesr.ac.uk/), increase the visibility of each resource.
Last year, the DRAI team used the information provided on websites to classify and catalogue
collections. We are now seeking to fill in the gaps in our data and enhance the information by
contacting collection owners directly. You have received this email as this email address was
identified as the most suitable way to contact the collection owner(s). We appreciate that you may
not personally be the collection owner and, if not, would be very grateful if you could forward this
message to the person with most knowledge of the digital resource mentioned above.
We would like you to check the information we have gathered from the PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor
website at http://uk.php.net/ and help us to enhance both the
technical information held (which will help us with our overview of digital resource provision in
the UK) and the descriptive information (which will help users to discover and use your resource
more easily).
You can check your data and submit updates or corrections at the following url:
http://130.209.99.103/drai-xml/php/index.php?id=2443&key=10M15XIC497
Checking your data should not take longer than 15 minutes and will ensure that the DRAI project has
the most accurate and up to date information for your collection. We hope you agree that
contributing to our records will be time well spent. Many thanks in advance for your co-operation,
On behalf of the DRAI project team,
Daisy Abbott
