Nope. AFAIK there is nothing special you need to do, with the possible exception of verifying your email address to our challenge/response system (which you should receive the first time you send to @php.net). Probably the problem is that I haven't used this challenge/response system.

The question now is: May I have a @php.net alias to start this challange/response phase?
