The different types of news entries do appear on the same page. The
permalink for the PHP 7.0.0 news entry is
http://php.net/archive/2015.php#id2015-12-03-1
and that page also shows
conference announcements and calls for papers. The PHP 7.0.0 news entry is
currently getting prime position at the top of the page, and I for one
would like that to remain the case at least for a little while longer.
