Having had a conversation off list it would seem that while the main contact page has the warning about this list being public, the https://pecl.php.net/support.php page does not have the same message. I checked and the mail list sends out the check messages when a new email address is used, but that does look more like a private response spam message filter than a warning that posts will be public. Who has access these days to delete posts that should not have been made? Miikka is asking for his to be deleted, but there is nothing I can do about that ...
