Reg : Fatal error: Class 'COM' not found

Dear Webmasters, I am working with COM objects to update excel sheets dynamically. I am using php 5.1.4 (in windows based) locally. Its working fine. In local php.ini, the line ";com.allow_dcom = true" is commented. But the COM enabled by default when running phpinfo. But in demo server, the version of php is 5.1.6. But the COM does not enabled. I have uncommented the line ";com.allow_dcom = true" and restarted the server. But still i receives the error "Fatal error: Class 'COM' not found in /var/www/html/rangeready/index.php on line 7". In line 7, I have the following php code, $excel = new COM("Excel.application") or die("Unable to instanciate excel"); Please letme know whats the problem is? Thanks in advance.
