As a PHP instructor, one of the things I boast about with student's is PHP's
documentation. It was very clear, complete, well-written, well-structured and easy to use. But
recently, the new PHP documentation has had a turn for the worse.
Before, on the main page, you can just do a search for "string" and immediately you can
find "string functions". Now, you have to first click on "Text Processing", then
click on "String Functions".
I wish you'd revert the main page back to the original where you can easily get to the
functions. As Steve Jobs noted with his interface designers, he wants to be able to get at the most
important features within one or two clicks. With the new PHP manual, you've added another
roadblock. Users have to go through another step to get at the main content.
I hope this will be remedied. My only solution is using the old version of the manual.
Thank you,
