Thanks Hannes, I am still hanging here, I really appreciate you could help me this since I have spent couple of days on searching it: For a "Setup" section in the wiki page you mentioned. It didn't explicitly say the tools under "c:\Users\pierre\Documents\php-sdk\bin", do you know where to get the "php-sdk"? The instructions is really short.

       /ERROR: We really need that arpa\nameser.h file - it is part of the win32build package

That was intentional as they should no longer be used. The instructions in the manual are no longer current, these information for some reason are maintained in the wiki at http://wiki.php.net/internals/windows/stepbystepbuild -Hannes
