I suppose the problem is that there are a few too many definitions of
"Domain" :-s

I've no idea :-P
Perhaps ask whoever added DomainException to SPL in the first place ?

Your are totally right. And there is a good reason for that: We have no
idea what its useful for :)
Marcus: Could you enlighten us? :)

Description:
------------
"A domain exception" doesn't appear to be a particularly useful
description for the intended usage of the Exception class, when compared
to the other descriptions:
BadFunctionCallException
* Exception thrown if a callback refers to an undefined function or if
some arguments are missing
BadMethodCallException
* Exception thrown if a callback refers to an undefined method or if
some arguments are missing
etc...
Expected result:
----------------
A sufficient explanation of the intended use of the DomainException
class, more in line with the descriptions of the other Exception classes
provided via the SPL.
