Hi Gabriele, Thanks for letting us know, this has been fixed but may take a few days to appear on the site. If you find any more errors could you can submit them to the bug tracker (http://bugs.php.net/report.php) - use the 'Documentation problem' type. Thanks, Ross "Gabriele Kahlout" <gabriele@my-simpatico.com> wrote in message news:6f9bab3c0902090100h4a02e788l1dd6a437017eaf44@mail.gmail.com...
http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.string.php For anything more complex, you should use the complex syntax. Complex (curly) syntax This isn't called complex because the syntax is complex, but because it allows for the use of complex expressions. In fact, any value in the namespace can be included in a string<http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.string.php>with this syntax. Simply write the expression the same way as it would *HAVE *appeared outside the string<http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.string.php>, and then wrap it in *{* and *}*. Since *{* can not be escaped, this syntax will only be recognised when the *$* immediately follows the *{*. Use *{\$*to get a literal *{$*. Some examples to make it clear: Regards, K. Gabriele PS: PLEASE EITHER REPLY OR ACKNOWLEDGE RECEIPT WITH 'NOTIFICATION' IN THE SUBJECT LINE WITHIN 48 HOURS OTHERWISE I MIGHT ASSUME YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE LETTER AND MIGHT RE-SEND IT.
