Hi, I wonder why the "User contributed notes" are ordered with the latest note first. Very often people are responding on a previous note, and it is very annoying to be forced to read from the bottom and up. At least you could add this as an option in "My php.net".
That is not a bad idea, but our current infrastructure isn't capable of it. Furthermore, since the notes section is supposed to be "additional documentation" there should be no need to reply to other comments. To be crystal clear: The notes section is not a discussion forum. It is "user submitted additional documentation". We are aware that there are _bunch_ of notes that "break this rule", but we simply do not have the manpower to ensure the quality of the notes.
And a little historical note: We used to have it the other way around (oldest on top) but intentionally reversed it a few years ago. Regards, Philip
