Dear Sir/Madam Please forward this to those who are responsible for updating the features of PHP or, better still, tell me whom I should write to. We have clients who need to update websites and the files can be uploaded in a ZIP file and unzipped using a PHP script. As the ZIP file can have the same name every time it is unnecessary for the client to even know its name and even if they do a nuisance to have to go through any procedure other than clicking on an icon which would summon a PHP file on their site (viewed in a browser) and pull the file up. Thus - what would be nice would to be able to have a PHP script to pull a file up to the internet from the PC bringing up that PHP script on their browser. A second best would be to use a Post instruction from a form where the Name of the file could be pre-loaded into an upload box. What we have found is that whereas type="text" value="something" something appears -pre-loaded in the box but when we use type="file" value="filename" nothing appears in the box. (We would like filename to appear there.) Any assistance you can give or anyone else reading this can offer (even if it is in another language) would be much appreciated. Kind regards David L Evans Ph D
