Actually, I had pointed that out in IRC, and now that I know this is the
place to do it, happy to make suggestions here.
The problem that I ran into, this being my first time submitting a
conference talk, was that I went through this process:
1) Head to php.net/conferences … Look around … See the message in the
upper left.
2) Surprised when I click it that it isn't a contact form, nor an email
link. Read the page
3) Can't find any specific 'for conferences' section on there, bugs yes,
security yes, problems with php yes, and then a generic "webmasters". I
didn't think that you would want everyone wanting a conference listing
to be firing an email to a full webmasters list … and there was no
specific 'conference' mention, even though the conference page implied
there would be.
4) So I asked in IRC to see what people said, and was told to use
webmaster@php.net
So my suggestion would be if you are going to keep the 'let us know'
hyperlink pointing to contact us, to add a specific "for conference
postings" blurb on that page.
Either that, or just make the 'let us know' link be a mailto: to
php-webmaster@lists.php.net
