A series of talks as an introduction to the Zend Framework.
Talk One: Zend_Controller — The Zend Framework controller suite
The Zend_Controller is the heart of Zend Framework's MVC system, built
with extensibility in mind, either by subclassing the existing classes,
writing new classes that implement the various interfaces and abstract
classes that form the foundation of the controller family of classes, or
writing plugins or action helpers to augment or manipulate the
functionality of the system.
In this presentation, we will describe the general architecture used in
the Zend_Controller, map out the flow of execution through the various
subcomponents of the library and create a simple Zend_Controller based
project. Additional, a number of advanced topics will be discussed, such
as creating dispatch and action plugins, using the builtin plugins like
the view render and error handler and standard practices to use within
actions.
