The problem perhaps come from the Korean :
I went from Google -> www.php.net
On php.net (Global, English), I search for strchr function in the
search tool
I get this result page :
http://fr3.php.net/manual/kr/function.strchr.php
(Korean, maybe)
Whereas I am in UTF-8 and the page encoding too, I can only read
comments (in English), not function manual at all! The same for strstr
function.
Firefox is 3.0.11 on my computer (last public release I think).
Thanks for helping me ;)

That exact page works fine for me in FireFox 3.5.0 and 3.0.11..
Are you sure your browser is using charset autodetection? Which exact
version are you using? (btw, that page is in Korean..)

When I navigate (from France), I have the problem on all the pages (at
least all function definitions).
For example : http://fr3.php.net/manual/kr/function.strchr.php
Even in UTF-8, I have some bad characters (hexa printed).

Huh? Thats definitely not a syntax error.
Which page exactly (full url please, including mirror (xx.php.net) and
language (/manual/xx/)) are you experiencing this on?

Description:
------------
I think the website gets a problem in encoding, because my Firefox 3
does not detect it automatically.
That issue is probably due to a syntax error in the HTML code :
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/>
There is one space missing after ' utf-8" ' I think...
