time function

hello. I have started to learn php programming and i have a basic problem.I am not able to use time
function, whenever i try to use it, i have some problems.For instance, i was just learning to
setting cookies with setcookie function.When i use the time function for the third entity of
setcookie function i get this error from my browser: Cannot modify header information - headers
already sent by (output started at C:\AppServ\www\cookies.php:9) I am using adobe dreamweaver cs4
edition for programming and i am using mozilla firefox for browser.If you can help me with this
problem, i will be very glad.thank you.
