documentation in php format?

Hello, Is it possible to make another version of the manual, a php one, with search functions (and search indices if needed), so that if one extracts the archive into local apache directory, it's php scripts worked and allowed local manual search? I think many users would like to use local copy and not to have to deal with network latency, which can be significant sometimes.
