need ur kind suggestion for php

Hi, This is nadeem from Muscat, Oman. Sir I have one query and want your suggestion in this regard. The scenario is that we have web based application with backend as Oracle 10g and front end as jsp. Its working fine if the no. of concurrent users are less than thousand. But when users increases system goes slow and slow and even it goes to in a hang situation. We have 6000 student that will be login at the same time. so we have to optimized the system and we are planning to switch to php from jsp. I need ur kind suggestion that will this technology changes will resolve our problem. Is php can handle 60000 concurrent users with oracle 10g. Please suggest me. We have high end configuration server and also defined enough size for SGA in oracle..
