Hi
As an converted C/C++ developer there one or two minor changes that will
make php development for me (and hopefully others) more efficient/flexible:
1) sprintf/printf/vsprintf etc. to have one additional parameter
option/enhancement, the '*' that substitutes the width specifier with a
parameter;
eg. printf("%*s", 10, "text");
This would make global/local formatting changes possible by changing a
single parameter.
2) As version 5.3.3. now has the 'named' constructor available
eg. class Bar {
function __constructor() { .... } now
function Bar() { ..... }
please also
function ~Bar(){ ... } to compliment
function __desctructor(){ .. }
}
With version 5.3.2 I have found that calling the __constructor($parameters)
does not always seem to work, but Bar($parameters) would work. Hopefully
just a quirk, not a bug.
Regards
Hermann
