From: Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit PHP version: Irrelevant Package: Website problem Bug Type: Bug Bug description:NNTP server time out Description: ------------ I reported on news.php.net that accessing the newsgroup via nntp server frequently times out. Daniel Brown recommended that if the problem persists, I open a bug report. Here (http://i51.tinypic.com/ix6ntk.jpg) is an image of the timeout message. Here (http://i51.tinypic.com/10dwp09.jpg) is a copy of the config for the news.php.net server Expected result: ---------------- I expect the news reader to fetch a news article from the server. Actual result: -------------- When I try to read an article, 8/10 times I get a message that the news server has times out. -- Edit bug report at http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=52831&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.2): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=trysnapshot52 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.3): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=trysnapshot53 Try a snapshot (trunk): http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=fixed Fixed in SVN and need be documented: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=needdocs Fixed in release: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=needscript Try newer version: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=oldversion Not developer issue: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=support Expected behavior: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=notwrong Not enough info: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=submittedtwice register_globals: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=php4 Daylight Savings: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=dst IIS Stability: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=gnused Floating point limitations: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=float No Zend Extensions: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: http://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=52831&r=mysqlcfg
