Event #4306: PHPBenelux September Meeting

This month, our meeting is taking place in Rijswijk at the offices of Competa, this month's meeting sponsor. And it's not just any meeting. We've got something really special for you this month! You are welcome from 7PM and we aim to start at around 7:30PM with the first speaker. Our first speaker is part of PHPBenelux, but also an internationally recognized speaker in the PHP world. Michelangelo van Dam (@DragonBe) will be speaking at this month's meeting on Unit testing after Zend Framework 1.8: With the release of Zend Framework 1.8 lots of things changed internally, and so changed the way to test your applications. My presentation will go in depth into the new unit testing features and will give examples to test your application on several levels like database tables, web services, library components and controllers. Some parts require specific attention in order to ensure a good quality of Tests (e.g. Zend_Application, Zend_Db, Zend_Ldap, Zend_Service, Zend_Controller) while other parts can be included as parts of earlier mentioned tests. This talk has also been selected for inclusion in conferences such as PHPNW and ZendCon, so this is one you should not miss! So come by and learn about unit testing with Zend Framework. For our second talk, we want YOUR TALK. Please let us know as soon as possible what topic you would want to speak about. Of course, you need to be able to make it to Rijswijk on the 21st, but we'll make sure you'll have fun. This is an excellent opportunity for starting speakers to get a stage and get some good feedback on their talk, as well as more experienced speakers to practice a new talk.
