The search service that is currently used is scheduled to be shut down
at some unspecified point this month, but is currently still
available. There appears to be some other problem with the search
script that php.net uses, a misconfiguration (that's the only way I
can reproduce the problem), making it return no results.
It *should* be a quick fix to get search back up and running for now
(for anyone with access to the box), and then some time will need to
be spent investigating alternative search options for when the Y! Web
Search goes offline.
