Since you are asking, I assume you are running on Windows?
It depends on your webserver (in this case, apache). If you are
running apache prefork (which we recommend) then you want "non
threaded". If you are running PHP as a (Fast-)CGI, you don't want
threaded either.
So, what it means is if your webservers is threaded, you need to run
thread safe PHP too.
In 99.75% of cases, you do not want to run threaded.
