I have the PHP 4.0.0 ISAPI module working with Win2000 and IIS 5.0. I
connect to Access 97, Access 2000 and Microsoft SQL 6.5 using ODBC with no
problems. To have authenticated pages access MS Access DB's properly using
basic authentication, I had to remove the ISAPI filter setting. (Not sure
why?) I've spent hours today trying to get PHP 4.0.1 or 4.0.1pl2 to work and
it will hang the IIS Admin service on start. So I've been unable to try the
MSSQL.dll due to lack of that module with 4.0.0 release.
Good luck,
Domenic

Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I forgot to mention in my post that I am using
IIS 5.0. I was able to use the CGI version but as you said I have
experienced quite a lot of GPF's and had to resort to PHP3. Another thing of
note is that the ISAPI module will only work if there is no PHP.INI file. I
suspect that the parsing routines of the INI file is causing IIS to hang and
therefore crashing the server on loading of the DLL.
Has anyone had any luck with PHP4 ISAPI???
PHP3 works fine and I am sticking to that until a working version of 4 is
available. If anyone has a compiled binary of the latest snapshot to share I
would really appreciate it.
Regards,
Maurice
