Well, as suggested, you can use php-GTK, but you can also use the browser as a container for your php script with some COM commands for GUI, and run it as localhost in Apache. You won't need to use C++ and VB - Obviously the best thing ;) A+ Alain -----Original Message----- From: nobody [mailto:yodaa222@NOSPAMhome.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 06, 2001 10:35 PM To: php-windows@lists.php.net; php-general@lists.php.net Subject: [PHP-WIN] Re: How do I create a win app that incorporates php's functionality? No, no no no. PHP is much more than a server-side scripting language. That's only one of many possible uses for it. PHP is one bad-assed tool that can do much more than mere server-side scripting. I want to use it to script the way a program behaves. For the project I'm working on it would be VERY impractical to write a new executable every time I need it to do something different, so I have to have some sort of scripting to make it work. I could write my own scripting language.... I guess.... but why try to reinvent the wheel? Why make my program ride around on semi-rounded rocks when there are goodyear tires right over there I could use... if I could only figure out those damned lug nuts. (I know, lame analogy...)
