Hi, I've installed the latest release of PHP4 as an ISAPI filter under IIS 5.1 (WindowsXP Pro): I'm experiencing some strange issues when running VERY SIMPLE scripts... I.e.: ---------------------------------------------- <html> <head> <title>NavMenu</title> </head> <body> <p> <?php $john=5*2; echo "$John NAVIGATION MENU."; ?> </p> </body> </html> ---------------------------------------------- Yes, I know this code does NOTHING interesting and I know the variable called within the echo statement is NOT the variable containing the value "10". Still, this script should return only the string " NAVIGATION MENU", instead the page fails to load... It just hangs as if my browser had to download a very long page from a distant location, then times out returning a 404 error. Other scripts work 9 tenth of the time (such as the following): ----------------------------------------------- <HTML> <BODY> <FORM NAME="test" METHOD="post" ACTION="test.php"> <INPUT NAME="counter" SIZE=3> <INPUT NAME="limit" SIZE=3> <INPUT TYPE="submit" VALUE="OK"> </FORM> <P> <?php for ($counter;$counter<=$limit;$counter++) { echo "<FONT SIZE=$counter>Hello World</FONT></P>"; } ?> </P> </BODY> </HTML> ----------------------------------------------- Again, dummy code I know... But a little more complex than that above... Still it runs smoothly most of the time (it still fails to load sometimes, returning same error 404 as previous script). Any clues? I heard PHP 4 doesn't run properly on IIS 5.1. Is that true? Is there a patch to fix this? Thx
