what's wrong with php.ini?

i'm now using IIS5.0+php4.0
when i've completely installed php4.0
trying <?phpinfo();?> it's OK. then i remember that i'm not configuring
php.ini
which means that i didnot rename php.ini-dist to php.ini ,and there's no
php.ini file in my
system then,while it works well,i can use mysql and some other libs .what's
wrong??
