Hi,
I have installed php in my win2000/iis machine. I have mapped xml and wml to be processed by the php engine, and all works well. I had only to add the entries xml and wml and th eexecutable path and I can write php/xml and php/wml pages, and it's very interesting.
Now, I need to the same in my web site, in a server with apache. What I have to do? My sysadmin said me to add the lines
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .xml
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .wml
to my .htaccess file; he didn't said me nothing more.
Actually my .htaccess file is:
AuthUserFile /usr/home/vitaveska/.htpasswd
AuthGroupFile /dev/null
AuthType Basic
AuthName ByPassword
<Limit GET POST>
require valid-user
</Limit>
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .xml
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .wml
Anyone can help me or tell me what I have to ask for to my sysadmin? I have some rights in my web space, but I don't know if they are enought to to this without asking to my sysadmin again: I can use cgi, I can write my .htaccess files (I actually use them only to password protect directories), I can telnet and ftp, I can modify the rights for files.
By the way, I can't ask to the sysadmin to have all the sites with xml files processed by php: must be affected only my site.
Thanks in advance,
