1. The pop-ups shown on www.php.net or passing variables to other browser
windows is no feature of php. Php-files can output any type of http-files
(normally html). the pop-ups are html (dhtml/javascript) features.
2. Passing variables to other browser-windows is also very easy. Open a
pop-up-window with simple javascript and replace the opening url with
something like this:
http://www.hello-world.com/second.php3?variable1=content&variable2=15
