RE: [PHP-WIN] mail() function EXTREMELY slow

Yeah, I know about the max time variable, but it would be unacceptable to take over a minute or two to send a handful of emails! I read an article that said you could use your ISP's SMTP server for the mail() function, but that didn't seem to work. The speed is pretty much dependent on your SMTP server though. Trying to send a batch of emails with PHP's mail() function takes so long, that the script expires and I get an error message.
