Hello
I have a tcl script that I want to call from a
webpage, using PHP.
This script normally takes a few minutes to run
(as long a 30-40 minutes), and I know that usually
exec will wait on the call, so I wrapped a batch file
around the call, using "start" to force the run into
the background.
Now I have a bat file that returns to the prompt
immeadiately. (key point!)
but the call:
exec("filename.bat");
still hangs my browser.
I have also tried:
exec("filename.bat 2> nul");
with no more success.
Any ideas appreciated,
Christopher
